How to Fix if Windows 10 is Not Showing Available Wi-Fi Networks

“My Laptop is not showing Wifi networks.” “Windows 10 is not showing all wifi networks.”  It is seen that so many people are experiencing this situation. It is annoying when you sit and try to connect to the wifi network, but it does not show.  This problem can be linked to WiFi problem, network connection issue, the wrong wifi configuration or the driver issue of WiFi network. Do not worry if Windows 10 is not showing wifi networks

Things you can do to solve this problem :

1. Make a check at you network settings

  1. You will have to right-click on the internet icon which is at the right bottom of screen. Select Open network and sharing center.

  2. Go to the Network connection panel by changing the adapter setting in the Network sharing center. You can also go to the panel by using windows key +R at the same time and then type ncpa.cpl then press Enter key.

  3. Check if the wifi service is enabled now. If not, then from the drop down menu right click on the wifi network and select Enable.

  4. Now restart the computer and see if it is working or not.

2. Click on the Toggle to Enable the WiFi

  1. Open Settings by pressing the Windows + I keys simultaneously.

  2. Select Network and Internet option

  3. Select Wi Fi from the left hand side of the screen and click the toggle in order to Enable it. Now you are ready to connect the WiFi network this time the network will show up.

3. Turning on the WLAN AutoConfig Service

  1. Press Windows + R keys and enter services.msc then press OK.

  2. In the name column search for WLAN AutoConfig then right-click and choose Properties.

  3. Change the startup time to Automatic then select Start then click Apply. Then click the OK option to proceed.

  4. Now restart the PC and see your WiFi will be working.

4. Restarting of the WiFi Router

You can always try to restart your router if no wifi networks are found on Windows 10.  If you cannot see an available wireless network in windows 10 then restarting your router is a good option. Simply unplug it from the power source, and switch off the WiFi router. Give it some time and then plug it again.  Try to connect it with your PC again, your internet should work now. Sometimes a simple restarting helps the connectivity quite a lot.

5. Running the Internet Connection troubleshoot.

  1. Select troubleshoot by going to Update and Security from Settings.

  2. Under the Get up and run section go to Internet connections and click the run troubleshoot. It will try to search the issue with the network and fix it.  Even if this does not work then go to Network Adapter and click Run the troubleshooter. It will help you search the net problem and also the other wireless connection issues.

  3. Restart you computer or laptop to save the changes.

6. Uninstalling or Updating wireless network adapter

  1. Right-click on the Windows icon and select Device Manager

  2. Find the Network Adapter for your device by expanding it, right-click and uninstall. Click OK to continue.

  3. Restart your computer and windows will be automatically installed the default drivers for the network adapter.

  5. Right-clicking on the network adapter name and select Update driver software.

  6. They choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

  7. It will then search for the latest driver software for your computer. Try completing the procedure by the instruction above.
